City League is launching a monthly community run/walk event through St. Louis neighborhoods — and we want to drive foot traffic straight to your door.

What Is City Scramble?

A new kind of community event

City League is launching a series of monthly City Scramble community events with the goal of building engagement and awareness for the organization — and driving real foot traffic to local businesses like yours. Each event brings runners, walkers, and families directly through your neighborhood and into your storefront.

What's required to participate?
  • Donate a raffle item or gift card worth $20 or more — drop it off or we'll arrange pickup.
  • During the 1-hour event, hand out raffle tickets to each participant who stops in. We provide the tickets — you set up a self-serve station or have an employee hand them out.
  • Display a flyer in your storefront to promote the event. We'll provide it for you!

Event Day

How It Works

The event starts and ends at a central location in the neighborhood. Everything happens within a 1-hour window — simple and low-lift for your team.

The Map Drop
A giant map is revealed identifying all participating local businesses — that's you! Every participant sees your business name and location.

The Scramble
Runners and walkers create their own routes — like a choose-your-own-adventure — visiting as many businesses as possible and collecting a raffle ticket from each one. The more stops, the more chances to win.

The Finish
Runners and walkers return to the start location, turn in their raffle tickets, and the prizes you (and other businesses) donated are raffled off to lucky participants. Your generosity gets recognized in front of the whole crowd.

Raffle Donation

We request that all participating small businesses donate a raffle item or gift card worth $20 or more. Your donation will be raffled off to a lucky participant at the end of the event — and your business will be recognized in front of the whole crowd.

Please be as specific as possible so we can promote your donation to participants.
Approximate dollar value. Used for tax receipts and to track total event impact.
City League is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 32-0695088). Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Event Participation Agreement

During the 1-hour event window, your business will hand out raffle tickets to each participant who stops in. City League will provide the tickets in advance. You can set up a self-serve station or have an employee hand them out — whichever works best for you.

We also encourage you to promote the event by sharing on your social media platforms and displaying a flyer in your storefront. City League will provide all materials.
